Yesterday I was getting ready for the day and I chose to wear black jeans and a black silk top. You know, the everyday outfit, the all-black-everything that increasingly becomes more popular among bloggers and Instagram influencers. Well, that was the issue. Although it looked great and had a classy twist, I feel that the all-black-everything became overexposed (or overworn if you wish), as well as something you put on when you have no inspiration but you still want the ‘fashion vibe’.
I needed a splash of colour, something to make me feel that the long and hot summer days are finally here and that everything is as easy as it used to be during summer holidays. The cascade fringe earrings in fuchsia that were laying on my nightstand seemed to be exactly what I needed. To have something completing that electric pink hue I’ put on my favourite jacket at the moment with pale, blooming roses. I absolutely love it!
I couldn’t stop adding colour, feeling that an outfit was coming to life and my day will be more energetic! Instead of the black jeans I was now wearing a pair of white cropped trousers, which created a smart-casual touch and a turtle neck top in mustard tones. I really enjoy combining colours and patterns and encourage you to do the same and leave the all-black-everything for the gloomy days.
