Happy Sunday everyone! Here we are, the last blog post of this series. It's been such a great journey and I loved all of your messages about these Christmassy places that we definitely need to visit around this time of the year in London, as the weather here doesn't contribute at all to our spirits. As I am writing this, I am looking at the most grey-ish and rainy London from my 20th-floor apartment and despite people's attempt to celebrate the season with flickering Christmas lights set in their windows, it hardly resembles a winter scenery at all.
Although I wish I could be in Romania now, where the snow is massive (my grandma said she didn't see this much snow since she was a little girl!), I am very happy we have all these amazing places here that can truly put us in the best Christmassy mood.
I saw Piccadilly Arcade's beautiful decorations as we were en route to another place but I had to stop and admire it! Along this corridor are the most luxurious boutiques and they all display superb decorations, reason why many people prefer to shop (or window shop) here.
As you can see, this place is quite busy but for once I feel like this contributes to its beauty. Filled with people who take time to admire the fine items and then carefully select the best presents, Piccadilly Arcade transports you into another time, far away from the typical mall agitation around holidays.
If you still have to do some last minute Christmas shopping, I promise you will find everything you need here. Otherwise, enjoy the excitment of this place with some window shopping and the best cup of hot chocolate!
